My first commercial sculpting gig was sculpting roses on jewelry boxes for a gift company in my hometown. Then one day, I discovered the toy industry, and I never looked back. I’ve sculpted more toys than I could ever count, for almost as many licensors. Both here and abroad, I’ve been fortunate to learn from great designers, engineers, and sculptors. We don’t use polymer clay much any more. Most sculpting is digital, now, but the lessons are the same.
